Dominic, Toby, & Ben… Oh My!

world-of-warcraftDear Josh,

As the news was released while you were not at work, I assume you know this.  But on the off-chance you weren’t made aware, I will fulfill my duty to inform you that some of the confirmed cast for the Warcraft movie has been announced.  I have no idea what roles they’d each be playing, but I hope at least three of them play in their own guise as dreamy badass humans or night elves.  I’m of course referring to Dominic Cooper (Howard Stark), Toby Kebbell (that one guy in at least 4 movies that I liked him in – who now has a name / congrats!), & Ben Foster (Warren Worthington III – some people like to pretend X3 didn’t happen.  I’m not one of those people. #purists  But Hey!  #alphadog).  These guys are confirmed, which is awesome.  But the rumor mill has been churning names like Paul Dano, Anton Yelchin, & (if there ever was a Jesus) Colin Farrell.  Stay tuned or something!

You Beta Get In On This!

Infinite CrisisDear Josh,

I came up with a solution that will get me over crying about the fact that “Guardians of Middle Earth” is coming to PC and had I known that was going to happen, I would have never spent the money I did for the Xbox release.  Last time I trust change!  The DC Gods have smiled upon me in the form of their new MOBA (currently beta testing) [you bet your ass I signed up for it when I got my invitation].  My only question (as you know) is “How awesome is Aquaman going to be?!”

Holy Multiplayer, Batman!

robinDear Josh,

Looks like Batman Origins will be adding an Online Multiplayer Challenge Map!  3 v 3…v 2.  WHAT!?  So, 3 Elite Joker Thugs, 3 Elite Bane Thugs vs Batman & Robin.  And it gets better!  It looks like it’s got a gameplay dynamic similar to STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT 2 or LORD Of The RINGS: CONQUEST in that after the thugs gain XP in the round, you can enter the Arena as Joker or Bane respectively!  Oh sweet happy trigger-pulling-back-breaking sweetness!  I love all the things right now as I’m sure you do too… cause you know what we’re doing on October 25th… only this time we get to the store in time for free T-shirts!

WoW! A Teaser!

world-of-warcraftDear Josh,

Earlier today, Legendary Pictures officially announced filming by sneaking a teaser for the live-action World of Warcraft movie among it’s footage of the 300 sequel, Godzilla, & The Seventh Son.  I read a quick description of it and it’s just a teaser, so it isn’t much – but holy hearthstone, Batman!  The on-again-off-again relationship this movie has had with being greenlit has been jacking with my emotions for years.  But it’s official.  Filming commences next year for a 2015 Release date.  hashtag For the Horde!

Out of the Background

martian-manhunterDear Josh,

So, my dreams are coming true.  Well, not the one where I become a bajillionaire, buy Disney, and accidentally run the company into the ground because I blatantly have no experience in running a business.  (My dreams are sometimes relatively realistic.)  The dream where Martian Manhunter becomes DLC for Injustice.  (I’m still never going to download Scorpion – he’s stupid and has his own damn game!)  Sexy McManhunter’s fighting style seems pretty legit too.  Psychic powers and some shapeshifting abilities (likened to Mr Fantastic-esque moves).  I’m so happy I could go to Mars and pee… yes, just to pee.

Adding Scorpion was an Injustice, but…

man of steel injusticeDear Josh,

When I get money again (so, not anytime soon) we gotta jump back on some Injustice action.  They’re adding not just a Man of Steel Superman skin, but we get to play as the greatest bearded Kryptonian villain the world has ever seen.  General Zod is the next character to download.  I was very upset when they already started jacking with the game by adding Scorpion from Mortal Kombat.  But Zod’s abilities aren’t just a ripoff of Superman’s (granted, some of them are) but he looks like he gets his own DAMN magic chin-pube fighting-style (okay, not really – but I can pretend he does while I’m pwning strangers online)!
